چکیده

Abstract Blast diseases of rice and wheat are known to be caused by the specific pathotypes Magnaporthe oryzae (syn. Pyricularia ), M. Oryzae ( MoO ) Triticum MoT), respectively. Rice blast disease has been seen in Bangladesh from a very ancient time. However, Bangladesh’s first epidemic outbreak was recorded 2016. This study aimed investigate cross-infection reactions MoT growth room condition. Artificial inoculation done at vegetative reproductive phases both plants completely randomized design using virulent isolates . with resulted foliar symptoms typical eye-shaped lesions as well partially bleached or white head plants. On other hand, produced only on leaves spikes wheat. Molecular analyses PCR amplification (with Pot2, MoT3 MoT6099 primers) recently developed rapid detection PCRD strip confirmed presence symptomatic plant samples. Our results demonstrated that pathotype can infect but is unable under same controlled environment Bangladesh. revealed vulnerability an urgent need understand molecular mechanism underlying host-specificity fungus also provided evidence for potential many rice–wheat inter-cropping regions climate change intensifies. A comprehensive needed have better understanding variability virulence infecting inclusion large number crop varieties/genotypes.

TPS1 drug design for rice blast disease in magnaporthe oryzae

Magnaporthe oryzae (M. oryzae) is a fungal pathogen and the causal agent of rice blast disease. Previous lipidomics analysis of M. oryzae demonstrated that trehalose, a carbohydrate common to various fungi and algae, is thought to be involved in the possible conversion of glycogen into triacylglycerides for energy, an important step in the pathogenesis of M. oryzae. A key enzyme responsible for...

study on the effects of blast disease (pyricularia oryzae) on yield of rice under field condition

blast disease of rice caused by pyricularia oryzae is a potentially damaging disease in northern due to planting of susceptible local cultivars and favorable conditions. to assess the effects of blast on rice yield components and yield loss, one field experiment was conducted at the lowland culture conditions. analysis of blast effects on rice indicated that the maximum yield losses due to unpr...

The Potential of Streptomyces as Biocontrol Agents against the Rice Blast Fungus, Magnaporthe oryzae (Pyricularia oryzae)

Rice is a staple food source for more than three billion people worldwide. However, rice is vulnerable to diseases, the most destructive among them being rice blast, which is caused by the fungus Magnaporthe oryzae (anamorph Pyricularia oryzae). This fungus attacks rice plants at all stages of development, causing annual losses of approximately 10-30% in various rice producing regions. Syntheti...

Variability in Aggressiveness of Rice Blast (Magnaporthe oryzae) Isolates Originating from Rice Leaves and Necks: A Case of Pathogen Specialization?

Rice blast, caused by Magnaporthe oryzae, causes yield losses associated with injuries on leaves and necks, the latter being in general far more important than the former. Many questions remain on the relationships between leaf and neck blast, including questions related to the population biology of the pathogen. Our objective was to test the hypothesis of adaptation of M. oryzae isolates to th...

Polyubiquitin Is Required for Growth, Development and Pathogenicity in the Rice Blast Fungus Magnaporthe oryzae

Protein ubiquitination, which is highly selective, regulates many important biological processes including cellular differentiation and pathogenesis in eukaryotic cells. Here, we integrated pharmacological, molecular and proteomic approaches to explore the role of ubiquitination in Magnaporthe oryzae, the leading fungal disease of rice world-wide. Inhibition of ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis us...
